Preamble

We, the People of the Republic of Fridomia, United by a dream of peace, Guided by the values of Freedom, Passion, and Integrity, Inspired by the dignity of all individuals and the harmony of nature, Do hereby declare our resolve to build a nation:

  • That protects the rights and freedoms of every citizen;
  • That fosters love, justice, wisdom, and innovation;
  • That honors culture, embraces diversity, and defends peace at home and abroad;
  • That rejects tyranny, oppression, and discrimination in all forms;
  • That thrives on unity, hope, and fearless pursuit of a better future.
  • In full trust and conscience, we do enact and adopt this Constitution, the supreme law of our land, as the foundation upon which the Republic of Fridomia shall stand, now and for generations to come.

    ARTICLE I: FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

    1. Peace and Nonviolence

    The Republic of Fridomia shall always strive for peace and shall not engage in war or aggression. All conflicts shall be resolved through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual understanding.

    2. Freedom and Self-Expression

    All citizens shall be free to express themselves, believe as they choose, and live in accordance with their conscience, provided they do not harm others.

    3. Unity in Diversity

    Fridomia welcomes people from all cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. We celebrate diversity as a strength and stand united as one people.

    4. Wisdom and Knowledge

    Learning, critical thinking, and self-awareness are cornerstones of Fridomian society. We encourage curiosity and lifelong education for all.

    5. Environmental Stewardship

    Residing in the pristine lands of Antarctica, we vow to protect the natural environment, respecting all life and the planet’s delicate balance.

    6. Service and Responsibility

    Every citizen has a role in shaping the republic. We uphold integrity, passion, and the responsibility to contribute to the common good.

    ARTICLE II: CITIZENSHIP

    1. Eligibility for Citizenship

    Any individual who supports the values and vision of the Republic of Fridomia — including peace, freedom, unity, and wisdom — is eligible to apply for citizenship.

    2. Ways of Attaining Citizenship

    Citizenship in Fridomia may be acquired through any of the following means:

  • Application: Individuals may submit a request for citizenship through the official channels, stating their motivation and commitment to the nation’s values.
  • Invitation: The President or designated officials may grant citizenship to individuals recognized for their alignment with Fridomian principles.
  • Honorary Citizenship: May be awarded to global figures who significantly promote peace, wisdom, or humanitarian efforts, even without formal residence or application.
  • Birthright: Individuals born to active citizens of Fridomia may be granted automatic citizenship upon reaching an age of awareness (16 years).
  • Naturalization: After active participation in the community or service to the nation for a 4 consecutive years, individuals may qualify for full citizenship.
  • Citizenship Rights

    Every citizen of Fridomia shall have the right to:

  • Participate in national decision-making.
  • Express beliefs and opinions freely and peacefully.
  • Access community programs, digital infrastructure, and symbolic land rights.
  • Be protected under the laws and principles of Fridomia.
  • Duties of Citizens

    Citizens shall:

  • Uphold the ideals of the republic.
  • Participate in the growth of the community.
  • Defend the values of peace, freedom, and unity.
  • Loss or Suspension of Citizenship

    Citizenship may be suspended or revoked for:

  • Committing serious violations of Fridomian law.
  • Promoting violence, discrimination, or sabotage of Fridomia’s peaceful mission.
  • Due process and the right to appeal must be respected in all such cases.
  • ARTICLE III: GOVERNMENT STRUCTURE

    The President

    The President is the Head of State and Government, elected by citizens for a five-year term that can be renewable whenever the citizens votes for him/her. The President represents Fridomia internationally and ensures the harmony of all internal divisions.

    The Vice President

    Elected alongside the President, the Vice President assists in duties and assumes leadership when necessary.

    Council of Citizens

    An advisory and participatory body representing the people, proposing laws, and ensuring accountability. Members are selected or elected based on regions, professions, or citizen initiatives.

    State and Provincial Leadership

    States:

    Fridomia consists of 6 States, each led by a State Governor elected by the citizens of that state. Governors coordinate state-level affairs, represent the state in national discussions, and ensure local enforcement of national laws. States may have their own councils, charters, and cultural symbols aligned with the national constitution.

    Provinces:

    Each of the 13 Provinces is managed by a Provincial Representative, appointed by the Governor or elected by the local populace, depending on the state’s law. Provincial Representatives handle community coordination, organize events, and serve as the link between citizens and higher leadership. Provinces may have local assemblies, community forums, or digital hubs for citizen engagement.

    Decentralized and Participatory Governance

    Citizens at every level: national, state, and provincial, have the right to propose initiatives, vote in referenda, and join public forums. Fridomia values transparency and encourages open dialogue across all levels of leadership.

    ARTICLE IV: STATES AND PROVINCES

    Structure of Subnational Divisions

    The Republic of Fridomia is a decentralized micronation composed of:
  • 6 States, each acting as a semi-autonomous administrative region.
  • 13 Provinces, which are smaller regional communities located within or across states.
  • Governance of States

    Each State shall:
  • Be led by an elected State Governor, who serves a term of four years, renewable once.
  • Have the right to form a State Council, composed of elected or appointed citizens, to advise the Governor and represent the people.
  • Possess limited legislative power to create regional policies, provided they do not contradict the national Constitution.
  • Be responsible for:
  • Implementing national laws and adapting them to local needs.
  • Promoting peace, education, unity, and environmental protection within the state.
  • Supporting local economies, innovation, and community development.
  • Coordinating the affairs of provinces under their jurisdiction.
  • Governance of Provinces

    Each Province shall:
  • Be led by a Provincial Representative, who may be either:
  • Elected by the local population.
  • Appointed by the State Governor (based on local traditions or needs).
  • Serve as a grassroots connection between the people and state/national leadership.
  • Be empowered to:
  • Organize local events, education initiatives, and cultural programs.
  • Collect feedback and concerns from residents.
  • Promote community engagement and peace-building.
  • Monitor and report on local challenges or achievements.
  • Inter-Governmental Collaboration

    States and Provinces are encouraged to collaborate on matters of mutual interest such as environment, technology, cultural preservation, and diplomacy. A National Assembly of States and Provinces (NASP) shall be established to bring together all Governors and Provincial Representatives annually to discuss national progress, share innovations, and propose reforms.

    Respect for Local Identity and Customs

    Each State and Province may adopt local symbols, mottos, and customs, provided they align with the values of Fridomia. Diversity of expression and regional traditions are to be respected and celebrated.

    Accountability and Transparency

    Governors and Provincial Representatives shall operate with integrity, openness, and accountability. Citizens shall have the right to question, evaluate, and, if necessary, recall their local leaders through democratic means defined in law.

    ARTICLE V: RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS

    The Republic of Fridomia is founded upon the unwavering belief that every human being deserves dignity, respect, and the freedom to live a meaningful life. The following rights and freedoms are guaranteed to all citizens and residents of Fridomia:

    Right to Peace and Safety

    Every citizen has the right to live in a peaceful environment, free from violence, oppression, or fear. Fridomia shall not tolerate acts of aggression, discrimination, or hatred.

    Freedom of Expression and Thought

    All individuals have the right to freely express their thoughts, beliefs, opinions, and creativity, whether through speech, art, writing, or peaceful assembly. No one shall be silenced for peaceful expression that respects the dignity of others.

    Freedom of Belief and Religion

    Every citizen is free to practice any religion, spiritual path, or philosophy, or to practice none at all. The state shall remain neutral in matters of faith and protect the diversity of beliefs.

    Right to Participate in Governance

    All citizens have the right to vote, run for office, propose initiatives, and engage in national or local discussions. Participation shall be open, fair, and inclusive to all citizens regardless of background.

    Right to Privacy

    Every individual has the right to personal privacy. Personal data shall not be accessed, stored, or shared without the clear consent of the individual, except in cases of legal necessity and due process.

    Right to Knowledge and Education

    All citizens have the right to access learning, knowledge, and the tools of self-improvement. Fridomia promotes education as a path to wisdom, awareness, and personal growth.

    Right to Cultural and Creative Expression

  • Citizens are free to celebrate, preserve, and share their cultures, languages, and traditions.
  • The Republic shall support the arts, heritage, and innovation across all regions.
  • Equality and Non-Discrimination

  • All citizens are equal before the law and shall not be discriminated against on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, ability, age, beliefs, or any other status.
  • Right to Sustainable Living

  • All citizens have the right to a clean, healthy environment.
  • Fridomia pledges to preserve nature, reduce waste, and act as a guardian of its Antarctic home and beyond.
  • Right to Rest and Leisure

  • Citizens shall have the right to rest, leisure, and personal time, acknowledging the importance of well-being and balance in life.
  • Right to Justice and Fair Treatment

  • Every person has the right to fair and equal treatment under the law, the right to legal defense, and the right to appeal.
  • No person shall be punished without fair trial and due process.
  • ARTICLE VI: LAWS AND JUSTICE

    Justice in Fridomia shall serve as the foundation of peace and order. All laws shall be made with the consent of the people, rooted in fairness, and guided by the principles of the Constitution.

    Supremacy of the Constitution

  • This Constitution is the highest legal authority in Fridomia.
  • All laws, policies, and actions must conform to its principles.
  • Any law found to be in violation of the Constitution shall be considered null and void.
  • Legislative Authority

    National laws may be proposed by:

  • The President
  • The Council of Citizens
  • A State Governor
  • Or by public petition signed by a significant number of citizens (threshold to be defined in national law).
  • Laws must be reviewed and ratified by the Council of Citizens or by national referendum, depending on the type and scope of the law.

    State and Provincial Law

  • States and Provinces may create local laws to meet regional needs, as long as they do not contradict national law or the Constitution.
  • State laws must be made through consultation with citizens and approved by the respective State Council.
  • System of Justice

  • Fridomia shall establish an independent National Court of Justice to interpret laws, resolve disputes, and uphold rights.
  • Lower State Courts may be formed to address local matters and minor disputes.
  • Citizens accused of crimes shall have the right to:

  • A fair and public trial
  • A presumption of innocence until proven guilty
  • Legal representation
  • Appeal of decisions to a higher court
  • Legal Equality and Accountability

  • No one is above the law.
  • All citizens, including government officials and leaders, are subject to the same laws and standards.
  • Corruption, abuse of power, and violation of rights shall be prosecuted transparently and fairly.
  • Types of Law

    Civil Law:

    Governs relationships between individuals, property, contracts, and community standards.

    Criminal Law:

    Addresses acts that threaten peace, safety, or justice, and provides appropriate consequences.

    Environmental Law:

    Ensures the protection of natural resources, ecosystems, and sustainability.

    Constitutional Law:

    Guards the principles of the republic and rights of its people.

    Restorative Justice and Peacebuilding

  • Fridomia prioritizes restorative justice over punitive measures where possible.
  • Reconciliation, community healing, education, and service to society may be considered in place of traditional punishment for minor offenses.
  • ARTICLE VII: SECURITY AND ARMED FORCES

    SECTION A: SECURITY AND ARMED FORCES

    The Republic of Fridomia stands for peace, dialogue, and mutual respect. Yet, to ensure the safety of its people, protect its sovereignty, and maintain internal order, the nation shall maintain peaceful and principled security forces.

    Peace and Defense Doctrine

  • Fridomia renounces war as a means of resolving international disputes.
  • Armed force may only be used in self-defense, for humanitarian protection, or with the mandate of the international community.
  • All forces shall operate under the strict guidance of national and international law.
  • The Fridomian Peace Guard (FPG)

    The official defense and security force of Fridomia shall be known as the Fridomian Peace Guard.

    Its mission is to:

  • Defend the republic’s territory, institutions, and citizens.
  • Respond to emergencies and natural disasters.
  • Support peacekeeping, humanitarian missions, and diplomatic protection.
  • Assist in civil duties when needed (e.g. national events, rescue missions).
  • Civil Security Forces

    The Civil Harmony Corps (CHC) shall act as the national internal peacekeeping and policing unit.

    Responsibilities of the CHC:

  • Maintain public safety and order.
  • Prevent crime and resolve community disputes.
  • Uphold human rights and peaceful protest.
  • Operate locally within states and provinces under national guidelines.
  • Organization and Oversighs

    Both the FPG and CHC shall be:

  • Trained in peace-centered and rights-respecting methods.
  • Non-political, with loyalty to the Constitution above all.
  • Supervised by a National Council on Security and Ethics, which includes citizens, legal experts, and human rights observers.
  • Leadership and Command

    Both the FPG and CHC shall be led by:

  • The President of Fridomia shall serve as the Commander-in-Chief of all forces.
  • Operational command may be delegated to a Chief of the Peace Guard and Civil Harmony Director, who are appointed with oversight and accountability.
  • State Governors may command localized units for emergency or civil protection needs, under federal coordination.
  • Restrictions and Transparency

  • Secret police, torture, forced conscription, and surveillance without cause are strictly forbidden.
  • All operations must be transparent, lawful, and subject to review by citizens and oversight institutions.
  • Voluntary Service

  • Participation in the Peace Guard or Harmony Corps is voluntary, based on love for the nation and dedication to its values.
  • Training in conflict resolution, environmental aid, and humanitarian work shall be included.

    SECTION B: Intelligence and Cybersecurity Units

    To preserve national integrity, digital sovereignty, and the safety of citizens, Fridomia shall maintain non-intrusive, ethical intelligence and cybersecurity institutions under strict civilian oversight.

    Fridomian Intelligence Unit (FIU)

    The Fridomian Intelligence Unit (FIU) shall:

  • Monitor and assess risks to national security, including foreign interference, terrorism, and internal sabotage.
  • Support the government in informed decision-making through ethical information gathering.
  • Operate in a manner that respects civil liberties, privacy, and legal procedures.
  • The FIU shall not:

  • Engage in political surveillance of citizens.
  • Violate personal privacy without judicial authorization.
  • Use covert operations against peaceful groups or individuals.
  • Leadership:

    Directed by an Independent Intelligence Commissioner, appointed by the President with confirmation from the Council of Citizens.

    Subject to regular audits and reports to the National Ethics and Oversight Council.

    Fridomian Cyber Defense Command (FCDC)

    The Fridomian Cyber Defense Command (FCDC) shall be responsible for:

  • Protecting national digital infrastructure, communication systems, and sensitive data.
  • Monitoring and defending against cyberattacks, digital espionage, and misinformation campaigns.
  • Supporting public education on digital safety and online rights.
  • The FCDC shall work in partnership with:

  • Public and private institutions.
  • Local cybersecurity initiatives in the States and Provinces.
  • Ethical hackers and open-source communities aligned with Fridomian values.
  • Guiding Principles

    All intelligence and cybersecurity operations must be:

  • Transparent wherever possible.
  • Ethical and non-violent.
  • Respectful of all citizens’ digital and personal rights.
  • Whistleblower protections shall be in place for any agent reporting misconduct within the system.

    ARTICLE VIII: THE DIGITAL BILL OF RIGHTS

    In recognition of the growing importance of digital life, communication, and data, the Republic of Fridomia guarantees every citizen the following rights and protections in the digital realm.

    Digital Freedom and Expression

    Citizens have the right to freely express themselves online without fear of censorship, so long as their speech does not promote violence, hatred, or falsehoods that harm others. The internet shall remain a space for creativity, discussion, and connection.

    Right to Digital Privacy

    Every citizen has the right to control their personal data, including:

    • The right to access, correct, or delete their own data.
    • The right to know how their data is used and who has access to it.

    Surveillance of digital activity is prohibited unless:

    • Authorized by a court.
    • Necessary to prevent serious crime or security threats.

    Data Ownership and Consent

    • Citizens are the sole owners of their digital information.
    • No public or private entity may collect, store, or share data without informed, voluntary, and revocable consent.

    Right to Encryption and Security

    • Citizens have the right to use encryption and other digital protection tools to secure their communications and files.
    • The government may not create or require "backdoors" that weaken digital security systems.

    Right to Access and Inclusion

    • All citizens shall have the right to fair and affordable access to the internet and digital technologies.
    • Fridomia shall promote digital literacy and accessibility for all, regardless of region, income, or ability.

    Freedom from Digital Discrimination

    • No person shall be denied services or opportunities based on algorithms, digital profiling, or AI decisions that lack transparency or fairness.
  • Citizens have the right to appeal decisions made by automated systems that affect their lives.

    Digital Due Process

    Citizens accused of wrongdoing online have the right to:

    • Be informed of the accusation.
    • Access evidence.
    • Defend themselves before an impartial digital court or authority.

    Right to Disconnect

    • Citizens have the right to rest and unplug.
    • Workplaces, institutions, or public services may not require individuals to remain digitally active beyond agreed hours or terms.

    Ethical Use of AI and Emerging Tech

    The use of Artificial Intelligence and future technologies in Fridomia must:

    • Be transparent, explainable, and accountable.
    • Serve human dignity and peace.
    • Never be used to manipulate or exploit citizens.

    National Digital Sovereignty

    Fridomia reserves the right to protect its digital infrastructure from foreign manipulation, unjust regulation, or cyber-invasion.

    All foreign digital operations in Fridomia must abide by its Constitution and values.

  • ARTICLE IX: CITIZENSHIP LAWS AND DUTIES

    The Republic of Fridomia welcomes all who share its ideals of peace, wisdom, freedom, and community. Citizenship is a bond of belonging, a commitment to the Republic's values, and a right protected by law.

    SECTION 1: Acquisition of Citizenship

    Fridomian citizenship may be obtained through the following ways:

    By Founding Membership

    Individuals who helped establish Fridomia or were recognized as members during the founding shall automatically be citizens.

    By Application and Oath

    Any person aged 16 or above may apply for Fridomian citizenship by:

    • Expressing a sincere belief in the nation’s values and peaceful mission.
    • Taking the Oath of Fridomian Allegiance before a designated officer.
    • Being approved by the Ministry of Identity and Unity.

    By Contribution or Honorary Grant

    Individuals who demonstrate extraordinary commitment to Fridomia or global peace may be granted citizenship by special decree of the President or a vote by the Council of Citizens.

    By Descent

    Children born to Fridomian citizens shall be entitled to citizenship automatically, regardless of location, unless they choose otherwise upon reaching adulthood.

    By Naturalization

    Long-term legal residents of Fridomia (virtual or physical) who contribute meaningfully to the community and respect its laws may request naturalization after 2 years of residency or service.

    SECTION 2: Loss or Renunciation of Citizenship

    Voluntary Renunciation

    Any citizen may choose to renounce their citizenship by formal request.

    Revocation by Law

    Citizenship may be revoked only in extreme cases of:

    • Treason or deliberate harm to the Republic.
    • Proven, intentional deception during the citizenship process.
    • Decision by the High Court, with the right to appeal.

    SECTION 3: Duties of Citizens

    Citizens of Fridomia, while free, share the responsibility to:

    • Uphold the Constitution and Laws of the Republic.
    • Respect the rights and freedoms of others, both in Fridomia and beyond.
    • Defend the Republic peacefully, including its values and community.
    • Participate in civic life, including voting, volunteering, or contributing skills where possible.
    • Protect the environment and uphold sustainability in actions and innovations.
    • Promote peace, empathy, and ethical conduct, in both digital and physical interactions.
    • Report injustice, corruption, or threats to the republic in a lawful and constructive manner.

    SECTION 4: Dual and Shared Citizenship

    Fridomia permits dual or multiple citizenships, provided that:

    Allegiance to Fridomia does not conflict with the laws or duties of another country.

    Citizens remain committed to Fridomia’s peace-driven mission and do not use their status to undermine its interests.

    ARTICLE X: STRUCTURE OF THE REPUBLIC

    The Republic of Fridomia is a unified yet decentralized peace republic composed of six States and thirteen Provinces, each with the freedom to govern themselves in accordance with the national Constitution and the values of peace, equity, and dignity.

    SECTION 1: National Structure

    Fridomia shall be organized as follows:

    1. National Level

    2. Oversees constitutional law, defense, foreign affairs, intelligence, digital sovereignty, national infrastructure, and peace diplomacy.
    3. State Level

    4. Six States with autonomy in cultural, educational, and social matters.
    5. Provincial Level

    6. Thirteen Provinces, forming the foundation of local governance and community well-being.

    SECTION 2: The Six States of the Republic of Fridomia

    Each State shall be led by a Governor, elected democratically.

    The six States are:

    1. State of Solara

    2. Land of light and knowledge, symbolizing hope and intellectual freedom.

    3. State of Verdancia

    4. A region of nature and sustainability, representing Fridomia’s bond with the Earth.

    5. State of Harmonia

    6. A cultural and artistic heartland, fostering music, art, and human connection.

    7. State of Lumeria

    8. Centre for science, research, and technological innovation with integrity.

    9. State of Caelira

    10. A peaceful coastal region known for its diplomatic character and spiritual openness.

    11. State of Terravue

    12. Guardian of the highlands and traditions, representing resilience and unity.

    Each State shall have:

    • A State Assembly, State Court, and Peace Council.
    • Autonomy to create and manage regional programs, symbols, and governance practices.

    SECTION 3: The Thirteen Provinces of Fridomia

    Each State contains at least two Provinces. Each Province is led by a Provincial Steward and supported by a People’s Council.

    SECTION 4: Governance and Autonomy

    All States and Provinces have the right to:

    • Manage their own cultural, educational, and civil institutions.
    • Create regional symbols, holidays, and community structures.
    • Be represented in national affairs and decision-making.

    No region may act against the unity or Constitution of the Republic. Fridomia remains one united nation, strengthened by its diversity.

    ARTICLE XI: FOREIGN RELATIONS AND GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT

    The Republic of Fridomia shall maintain a principled, peaceful, and proactive approach to foreign relations. It shall seek friendship with all peoples and nations, and hostility with none, guided by its core values of freedom, passion, integrity, and peace.

    SECTION 1: Principles of Foreign Policy

    Fridomia’s foreign policy shall be governed by the following principles:

    Peaceful Coexistence:

    Fridomia shall never initiate violence or war, nor support regimes or actions that oppress, exploit, or colonize others.

    Mutual Respect:

    All nations and peoples shall be treated with equal dignity, regardless of size, power, belief system, or political alignment.

    Non-Alignment and Neutrality:

    Fridomia shall remain independent from military alliances and power blocs, maintaining its moral neutrality unless peace and human dignity are at stake.

    Sovereignty and Self-Determination:

    Fridomia respects the right of all peoples to determine their own political, economic, and social systems.

    Solidarity and Global Justice:

    Fridomia shall support the struggles of oppressed, marginalized, or colonized peoples through peaceful and ethical means.

    SECTION 2: Diplomatic Missions

    Fridomia may establish virtual or physical embassies and consulates in other countries, and welcome similar missions from others, in line with its values.

    The Ministry of Peace and Foreign Relations shall coordinate diplomacy, including:

    • Building and maintaining international friendships.
    • Advocating for Fridomia’s peaceful mission.
    • Promoting global dialogue on justice, sustainability, and digital rights.
    • All diplomatic personnel shall be trained in nonviolent communication, cultural understanding, and ethical conduct.

    SECTION 3: International Treaties and Agreements

      Fridomia may sign treaties or agreements with other nations, organizations, or micronations, provided they:

    • Do not violate the Constitution or peace doctrine.
  • Are transparent and publicly accessible.
  • Are ratified by the Council of Citizens and approved by the President.
  • Any treaty violating Fridomia’s core values may be lawfully withdrawn from, with explanation and peaceful intention.

    SECTION 4: Membership in International Communities

    Fridomia may seek observer or member status in:

    • Global forums, such as peace councils, environmental coalitions, digital freedom alliances, or micronation networks.
    • Only nonviolent, voluntary, and rights-based associations may be joined.

    Fridomia shall avoid membership in:

    • Military organizations.
    • Economic unions that exploit or restrict ethical sovereignty.
    • Alliances that enforce conformity or compromise independence.

    SECTION 5: Global Identity and Responsibility

    Fridomia considers itself a moral voice in the world, speaking for peace, digital dignity, sustainability, and human freedom.

    It shall host and participate in:

    • Peace dialogues and mediations.
    • Environmental summits.
    • Artistic and academic exchanges.
    • Digital rights forums.

    Fridomia shall offer asylum or symbolic refuge to peaceful thinkers, exiles, or threatened creators, when ethically justified.

  • ARTICLE XII: PRESIDENCY AND STRUCTURE OF GOVERNMENT

    The Republic of Fridomia shall be governed through a balanced, democratic, and transparent system of leadership that ensures justice, peace, freedom, and integrity. All power ultimately belongs to the People of Fridomia, exercised through institutions of trust and accountability.

    SECTION 1: Branches of Government

    Fridomia shall have three cooperative branches of government:

    • Executive Branch

    • Led by the President, tasked with national leadership and implementation of laws.

    • Legislative Branch

    • Represented by the Council of Citizens, tasked with making laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the executive.

    • Judicial Branch

    • Composed of independent Courts of Justice, ensuring laws are applied fairly and in accordance with the Constitution.

    These branches shall operate with mutual respect, independent powers, and the common goal of peace and equity.

    SECTION 2: The President

    Role and Duties

    The President of Fridomia shall be the Head of State and Government, Commander of the Peace Guard, and protector of the Constitution.

    The President shall:

    • Represent Fridomia domestically and internationally.
    • Sign and implement laws passed by the Council.
    • Appoint Ministers and lead the National Cabinet.
    • Lead national defense, foreign relations, and emergency responses.
    • Protect the rights, dignity, and unity of all citizens.

    Election and Term

    • The President shall be elected by popular vote every 5 years.
    • A candidate must be a citizen of Fridomia for at least 3 years and committed to its peace-driven mission.
    • A President may serve whenever citizens vote for him/her.

    Removal or Resignation

    The President may be impeached by a two-thirds vote of the Council for treason, corruption, or repeated constitutional violations.

    In case of resignation or removal, the Vice President shall serve until a special election is held.

    SECTION 3: The Vice President

    • The Vice President shall support the President and stand in their place when necessary.
    • The Vice President may also be given specific roles (e.g., overseeing justice or education) by the President or Council.
    • Elected on the same ticket as the President.

    SECTION 4: The Judicial Branch

    The Judiciary of Fridomia shall be independent, impartial, and protective of the Constitution and the rights of all. It shall uphold peace, truth, and equality before the law in every decision.

    Structure of the Judiciary

    The judicial system shall consist of the following levels:

    • The Supreme Court of Fridomia

    • The highest court in the land, guardian of the Constitution, and final arbiter in all legal matters.

    • High Courts of the States

    • Operate at the State level, handling major civil and criminal cases and appeals from Provincial Courts.

    • Provincial Courts of Justice

    • Local courts that handle everyday legal matters, minor disputes, and civil issues.

    • Community Peace Circles

    • Traditional or alternative justice forums for reconciliation, dialogue, and nonviolent resolution.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Interpret and apply the laws of the Republic.
    • Ensure all laws and government actions respect the Constitution.
    • Protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.
    • Provide justice free from bias, corruption, or influence.
    • Mediate between States, Provinces, or branches of government in constitutional disputes.

    Judges and Appointments

    Judges of the Supreme Court shall be nominated by the President and confirmed by a two-thirds vote of the Council of Citizens.

    State and Provincial Judges shall be selected through a transparent, merit-based process involving citizen input and ethical review.

    All judges must swear loyalty to the Constitution and commit to justice without fear or favor.

    Principles of Justice

    • Every citizen has the right to fair trial, legal counsel, appeal, and equal treatment under the law.
    • No one shall be detained without lawful cause, and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
    • The Judiciary shall operate publicly and transparently, except in cases involving personal safety or national peace.

    Protection of the Constitution

    The Supreme Court shall have the authority to:

    • Invalidate laws or actions that contradict the Constitution.
    • Interpret rights and freedoms in evolving contexts.
    • Resolve legal conflicts between branches or levels of government.

    SECTION 5: The Council of Citizens

    The Council of Citizens is the national legislative body. It consists of elected representatives from all States and Provinces.

    Responsible for:

    • Drafting and voting on national laws.
    • Approving the national budget.
    • Reviewing and confirming major appointments.
    • Overseeing the Executive Branch.
    • Sessions shall be open to public observation and recorded for full transparency.

    SECTION 6: National Cabinet and Ministries

    The President shall appoint a National Cabinet composed of Ministers who oversee national departments, including:

    • Ministry of Peace and Foreign Relations

    • Ministry of Defense and Civil Protection

    • Ministry of Intelligence and Cybersecurity

    • Ministry of Education, Culture, and Wisdom

    • Ministry of Health and Well-being

    • Ministry of Digital Affairs and Infrastructure

    • Ministry of Identity and Unity

    • Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs

    • Ministry of Justice and Equality

    • Ministry of Economy and Trade

    Ministers shall be approved by the Council and may be removed by the President with cause or Council decision.

    SECTION 7: Local Governance

    Each State is governed by an elected Governor and a State Assembly.

    Each Province is led by a Provincial Steward and a People’s Council.

    Local leaders must act in harmony with the Constitution and national law.

    SECTION 8: Public Access and Citizen Participation

    All citizens have the right to:

    • Submit proposals or petitions to government bodies.
    • Attend public sessions of the Council and participate in national dialogues.
    • Be informed of government activities and decisions through public reports.

    ARTICLE XIII: NATIONAL SYMBOLS OF THE REPUBLIC OF FRIDOMIA

    The Republic of Fridomia shall be represented by a distinct set of national symbols that reflect its founding principles: Freedom, Passion, and Integrity in the Pursuit of Peace. These symbols are sacred emblems of the nation’s spirit, ideals, and cultural identity.

    SECTION 1: The National Flag

    The National Flag of Fridomia is a powerful symbol of its founding principles ā€œhope, clarity, and strength in adversityā€ displayed through simplicity and symbolism.

    Official Description:

    The flag is rectangular and consists of three horizontal stripes of equal size:

    1. Bright Sky Blue at the top

    2. Representing freedom, dreams, and the limitless potential of the people of Fridomia.

    3. Pure White in the middle

    4. Symbolizing peace, clarity, and moral integrity.

    5. Grey at the bottom

    6. Signifying resilience, passion through struggle, and the reality of opposition transformed into purpose.

    > In the center of the white stripe is a five-pointed gold star, solid and bold, symbolizing guidance, enlightenment, and the Republic’s unwavering direction toward justice and peace.

    The star represents the light of unity, the wisdom of the people, and Fridomia’s mission to be a beacon of peace in the world.

    Usage and Respect:

    • The flag shall be flown on government buildings, diplomatic missions, and public gatherings of national importance.
    • It may also be displayed in digital and artistic formats to foster civic pride.
    • The flag must be treated with dignity and honor at all times, as a sacred representation of the Republic and its People.

    SECTION 2: The National Coat of Arms

    The Coat of Arms of the Republic of Fridomia is a solemn and symbolic representation of its core ideals: unity, loyalty, peace, and courage, as guided by the national motto: "Freedom, Passion, and Integrity in the Pursuit of Peace."

    Design Description:

    • At the heart of the arms is a deep red shield, symbolizing passion, dignity, and sacrifice.
    • On the shield, two clasped hands, one black and one white, emerge from opposite sleeves, signifying unity beyond difference, racial harmony, and cooperation between all people.
    • Above the shield is a medieval-style helmet, a traditional symbol of protection, readiness, and honourable defences.
    • Behind the helmet and shield, two green ams of the bow fronds curve outward, forming a heart-like shape, a powerful representation of life, love, and growth.
    • Encircling the shield and fronds are golden stalks of wheat or laurel, representing prosperity, peaceful victory, and honest labor.
    • At the top center rises a white arrowhead symbol , signifying the power to declare a war if needed, and the unwavering pursuit of truth and peace.
    • The base of the coat is layered with golden surface, symbolizing rootedness, stability, and our bond with nature and heritage.
    • Below this rests a scroll bearing the founding values: LOVE, LOYALTY, and UNITY, echoing the spirit of Fridomia’s people.

    SECTION 3: The National Anthem

    The National Anthem of Fridomia shall be a solemn and inspiring composition titled ā€œEchoes of Peaceā€. It shall reflect the values of the Republic in melody and verse, invoking hope, unity, and resilience.

    The anthem shall be performed:

    • During national holidays and state ceremonies.
    • At diplomatic events and international engagements.
    • At the opening of Council sessions.

    SECTION 4: National Emblems and Mottos

    National Motto

    ā€œFreedom, Passion, and Integrity in the Pursuit of Peace.ā€

    National Animal

    The Penguine – representing wisdom, observation, and calm presence.

    National Tree

    The Olive Tree – a symbol of peace, roots, and renewal.

    National Flower

    The Fridomian Orchid – a unique hybrid flower cultivated to reflect harmony and resilience.

    National Language(s)

    The official languages of Fridomia are to be democratically selected, with English as the primary administrative language.

    SECTION 5: Respect and Usage

    All citizens and officials shall honor the national symbols with respect and responsibility.

    Misuse, desecration, or distortion of the national symbols for hate or deception shall be treated as a violation of public trust.

    Citizens are encouraged to express their creativity and identity using national symbols in peaceful and meaningful ways.

    ARTICLE XIV: AMENDMENT PROCESS

    The Constitution of the Republic of Fridomia is a living document, designed to evolve with the needs and wisdom of its People while preserving the spirit of Freedom, Passion, and Integrity in the Pursuit of Peace.

    SECTION 1: Right to Amend

    The People of Fridomia, through their elected representatives and participatory democracy, hold the sovereign power to amend this Constitution.

    SECTION 2: Types of Amendments

    1. Regular Amendments

    2. Cover updates to governance, administration, or national policy.

    3. Fundamental Amendments

    4. Affect core values, human rights, the national motto, or sovereignty; these require a higher level of consensus.

    SECTION 3: Amendment Procedure

    Step 1: Proposal

    An amendment may be proposed by:

    • The President of the Republic;
    • A two-thirds majority of the Council of Citizens;
    • A petition signed by at least 10% of the national citizenry.

    Step 2: Review

    The proposed amendment shall be reviewed by a Constitutional Committee, including members of all branches of government and independent legal experts.

    Step 3: Debate and Transparency

    The proposal must be published and publicly discussed for no less than 30 days, including open forums and civic input sessions in all six States.

    Step 4: Voting

    A proposed amendment shall pass if it receives:

    • A two-thirds vote in the Council of Citizens;
    • Followed by approval in a national referendum, where at least 60% of voting citizens vote in favour.

    Step 5: Enactment

    Once approved, the amendment shall be:

    • Signed into law by the President;
    • Entered into the Constitutional Record;
    • Publicly announced and published in the National Gazette within 7 days.

    SECTION 4: Unamendable Provisions

    To preserve the core identity of Fridomia, the following elements cannot be amended:

    • The Republican nature of the State;
    • The National Motto:

      "Freedom, Passion, and Integrity in the Pursuit of Peace";
    • The guarantee of basic human rights and freedoms.

    ARTICLE XV: NATIONAL HOLIDAYS OF FRIDOMIA

    The Republic of Fridomia recognizes the importance of shared memory and collective celebration. The following National Holidays shall be observed across the Republic as moments of unity, reflection, and pride in our national journey.

    SECTION 1: List of National Holidays

    • Independence Day – April 21, 2025

    • Marks the founding of the Republic of Fridomia. Celebrated with national parades, peace declarations, and unity forums.

    • Founders’ Day – April 15th

    • Honors the visionaries, peacemakers, and citizens who helped build the foundations of Fridomia.

    • Peace and Integrity Day – May 25th

    • A national moment of silence and peace ceremonies to reaffirm our pursuit of truth, diplomacy, and nonviolence.

    • Citizenship Day – July 10th

    • A day to celebrate Fridomian identity, with naturalization ceremonies, cultural exhibitions, and acts of public service.

    • Unity Week – First full week of September

    • A week-long celebration across all States and Provinces focused on cultural diversity, love, community service, and dialogue.

    • Remembrance Day – November 2nd

    • Honoring the lives lost in conflict, injustice, and sacrifice, with a national vigil and messages of reconciliation.

    • Freedom Day – Not yet chosen

    • Celebrates civil rights, creative expression, and personal freedoms. Includes music, art, and storytelling festivals across the Republic.

    SECTION 2: Observance and Participation

    • All citizens are encouraged to participate in national holidays with respect, joy, and unity.
    • Public institutions shall provide free and inclusive access to events during official celebrations.
    • Local communities may add Regional or Provincial Holidays to reflect their unique culture, with approval from State Governments.

    SECTION 3: Protection of National Holidays

    • National Holidays shall not be removed or altered without a constitutional amendment.
    • All employers are encouraged to provide time off or flexible arrangements for workers to engage in national observances.

    ARTICLE XVI: PUBLIC SERVICE AND CIVIC ETHICS

    Public service in the Republic of Fridomia shall be guided by the values of honesty, transparency, equality, responsibility, and service to all citizens without discrimination. Every public servant is a steward of the people’s trust and a guardian of national principles.

    SECTION 1: Purpose of Public Service

    Public service exists to:

    • Deliver equitable and efficient services to all citizens;
    • Uphold the rule of law and constitutional integrity;
    • Promote peace, justice, and human dignity in all duties;
    • Foster innovation, accountability, and compassion in governance.

    SECTION 2: Oath of Service

    All elected and appointed public officials shall take the following Oath of Service:

    > ā€œI swear to serve the Republic of Fridomia with honor, impartiality, and integrity. I pledge to uphold its Constitution, protect the rights of all citizens, and fulfill my duties with fairness, wisdom, and love for the people.ā€

    SECTION 3: Principles of Ethical Conduct

    All public servants shall:

    • Act honestly and fairly, without favoritism or personal gain;
    • Respect human rights and the dignity of every individual;
    • Avoid corruption, conflicts of interest, and abuse of power;
    • Protect national resources, data, and public trust;
    • Serve all communities equally, regardless of status, identity, or belief;
    • Report wrongdoing and uphold justice when misconduct is witnessed.

    SECTION 4: Civil Service Commission

    A National Civil Service Commission shall be established to:

    • Recruit, train, and oversee public servants;
    • Enforce ethical standards and investigate misconduct;
    • Promote diversity, inclusion, and merit-based appointments;
    • Monitor the well-being and morale of the public workforce.

    SECTION 5: Consequences for Violations

    Any public official found guilty of corruption, dishonesty, oppression, or violation of ethics shall be:

    • Investigated by an independent ethics board;
    • Subject to disciplinary action, suspension, removal, and legal prosecution;
    • Disqualified from holding future public office, if warranted.

    SECTION 6: Civic Participation

    Citizens are encouraged to engage in civic life, public dialogue, and voluntary service.

    The government shall create opportunities for youth, elders, and community leaders to contribute to governance through consultative forums and national service programs.

    ARTICLE XVII: EDUCATION AND INNOVATION

    The Republic of Fridomia shall promote universal access to quality education, and foster a culture of innovation, critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning, in pursuit of a free, informed, and empowered society.

    SECTION 1: Right to Education

    • Every citizen of Fridomia has the right to free, inclusive, and quality education, regardless of age, gender, ability, or status.
    • Basic education shall be compulsory and accessible in all Provinces and States.
    • The national government shall ensure special provisions for learners in rural areas, marginalized communities, and persons with disabilities.

    SECTION 2: Goals of Education

    The education system of Fridomia shall:

    • Foster peace, understanding, and unity among citizens;
    • Promote critical and independent thinking;
    • Encourage creative expression, arts, and science;
    • Instill the values of freedom, passion, and integrity;
    • Support language diversity, including local and international languages;
    • Prepare citizens for productive and ethical participation in society and the economy.

    SECTION 3: Role of the State and Provinces

    States and Provinces shall collaborate with the national government to build and manage educational institutions, develop curricula, and ensure that local cultures are reflected in learning materials.

    Community participation and feedback in education planning shall be encouraged.

    SECTION 4: Higher Education and Research

    • The government shall promote and support universities, research institutes, and vocational training centers.
    • Scholarships, grants, and fellowships shall be made available to promising learners, especially from underserved backgrounds.
    • Institutions of higher learning shall enjoy academic freedom and autonomy, within the bounds of the Constitution.

    SECTION 5: Innovation and Technology

    The Republic shall support the development and responsible use of technology for education, governance, industry, and healthcare.

      A National Innovation Fund shall be created to support:

    • Start-ups and inventors;
    • Technological solutions for national development;
    • Youth innovation hubs and digital literacy centers.

    Cyber ethics and responsible innovation shall be part of all science and tech education.

    SECTION 6: Lifelong Learning and Civic Knowledge

    Adults shall have access to continuing education and skills development.

    National institutions shall promote civic education, including constitutional rights, democracy, peace-building, and the history of Fridomia.

    ARTICLE XVIII: ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABILITY

    The Republic of Fridomia recognizes the natural environment as a sacred trust and an essential pillar of peace, health, and prosperity. The Republic is committed to preserving ecosystems, combating climate change, and promoting sustainable development in harmony with nature.

    SECTION 1: Right to a Healthy Environment

    Every citizen has the right to live in a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.

    The State shall guarantee the protection of air, water, land, wildlife, and other natural resources for the benefit of all.

    SECTION 2: National Environmental Responsibility

    The Republic shall:

    • Prevent pollution, deforestation, and environmental degradation;
    • Promote renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and green technologies;
    • Protect endangered species and natural habitats;
    • Incorporate climate resilience into national planning and infrastructure;
    • Support environmental research and eco-education across all levels of schooling.

    SECTION 3: Green Citizenship

    All citizens and residents are encouraged to:

    • Conserve resources;
    • Reduce, reuse, and recycle;
    • Protect local ecosystems;
    • Participate in clean-up, tree planting, and climate action programs.

    National and local governments shall promote Environmental Awareness Campaigns annually.

    SECTION 4: Eco-Governance and Regulation

    A Ministry of the Environment and Climate Affairs shall oversee the enforcement of environmental laws and the coordination of national eco-programs.

    A Fridomian Environmental Council shall be established to:

    • Advise on environmental risks and responses;
    • Monitor corporate and governmental compliance;
    • Represent environmental interests at global forums.

    SECTION 5: Protected Areas and Indigenous Rights

    Key natural sites and landscapes shall be designated as protected areas.

    Indigenous communities and local populations shall be consulted and respected in environmental decisions affecting their lands and traditions.

    SECTION 6: International Cooperation

    Fridomia shall participate in international efforts to address global environmental issues and shall uphold its duties under environmental treaties, climate agreements, and peace-building through ecological stewardship.

    ARTICLE XIX: CULTURAL HERITAGE AND THE ARTS

    The Republic of Fridomia recognizes culture and artistic expression as essential to the identity, unity, and evolution of its people. The nation shall promote, protect, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity, languages, traditions, and creative talents of all communities within its territory.

    SECTION 1: Right to Cultural Expression

    Every citizen has the right to freely express, preserve, and participate in their cultural traditions, languages, beliefs, and artistic forms.

    No culture, ethnicity, or tradition shall be suppressed or discriminated against.

    SECTION 2: Protection of Cultural Heritage

    The Republic shall:

    • Identify, preserve, and restore historical landmarks, ancestral sites, oral traditions, and folk knowledge;
    • Safeguard intangible heritage, including rituals, music, festivals, and indigenous practices;
    • Collaborate with local custodians and elders to protect community memory and traditional wisdom.

    SECTION 3: Promotion of Arts and Creativity

    The government shall support:

    • Visual arts, literature, music, film, theater, dance, and design;
    • Art education at all levels of schooling;
    • Public art spaces, museums, and cultural festivals across all Provinces and States.

    Artists shall be free to create without censorship, within the bounds of peace, dignity, and human rights.

    SECTION 4: Language Preservation and Multilingualism

    Fridomia shall promote linguistic diversity, protect minority and endangered languages, and support the learning of international languages.

    All official documents may be translated into major spoken languages of the Republic.

    SECTION 5: Cultural Institutions

    A National Council for Culture and Arts shall be established to:

    • Promote artistic development and cultural research;
    • Fund creative projects and preserve cultural assets;
    • Advise on cultural policies and inclusion.

    SECTION 6: International Cultural Exchange

    Fridomia shall engage in peaceful cultural exchange and artistic collaboration with other nations and peoples, promoting global harmony through creativity.

    CLOSING DECLARATION

    Let it be known that this Constitution is not merely a legal document, but a living promise to all Fridomians, a beacon of liberty and love.

    No power shall be above the will of the people, and no voice shall be silenced by fear. From the snow-covered lands of Marie Byrd to every corner of our digital and human community, May this Constitution guide our actions, protect our people, and inspire the world.

    Let the Republic of Fridomia rise, Free, Passionate, and Just. In unity, with wisdom, and in peace, so shall we live, and so shall we thrive.

    Adopted this day by the Founders and Citizens of the Republic of Fridomia.
